wussup.. i'm a newcomer here.. my name's Karen. a couple of you would probably be thinkin, "who the hell is this girl? how'd she get in here?" first of all, i'm a friend of elaine's, so now i've become a friend of todd, grant and dan. question answered.

so. about this whole debate. here we go..

first of all, eminem. i will have to agree with grant about this one. not only because i love eminem to death, but simply because i am proud that he can stand up so strongly for what he believes in and is able to justify himself. FREEDOM OF SPEECH. those who protest him are saying things i don't like. how bout i protest against the protestors? em's just using his music to protest against his pet peeves. yeesh.
ppl don't like him, not because he is promoting hate, but because he is saying things that ppl don't like to hear. he is being blunt, realistic, and simply just shocking ppl with a reality of life that many "pampered and sheltered" citizens don't see and do not wish to see. just like REAL music artists, he uses his music to express himself. he's not PROMOTING hate. he's just showing ppl what his life was like. and if hate is the only thing ppl think he talks about, well take the time to actually listen to his words. damn hypocrites. those who protest eminem by sayin he promotes hate are stupid. dammit, if you're protesting hate, you just contradicted yourself because YOU HATE EMINEM. that case has now been closed.

now. America's morals. i have to agree with grant on this one too; the US have great WRITTEN morals in their declaration of independance, etc. it was great at first. but then assholes like President Bush come along to wreck it. there's defending your country and doing things for the good of the country. but when it comes time to respect humankind for humankind, Americans, just like all ppl, have a way of screwing up and becoming selfish. let me use September 11th as an extremely good example. let me say first, though, that those terrorists were WRONG in killing all those innocent lives (if it even was the terrorists who did it) and that no one, absolutely no one deserves to be murdered in any way. i feel for those who died. that said, i'd have to say that in all of the US's arrogance, they pretty much asked to be attacked. they were asking for a war to involve them. here's my reasoning: as soon as the twin towers were bombed down, the ENTIRE country ran into an enormous rage, literally SCREAMING out, "AMERICA'S NEW WAR!!" and all this BULLSHIT. they wish to seek revenge. they want vengance. they declare themselves victims without a cause to be victimized. well allow me to let you in on something. in many wars between other countries, they ALWAYS interfere. in Israel and Palestine, they have sided with the Israelites. fine, that's fine. the WRONG and IMMORAL side comes in when they fly helicoptors over Palestine, shooting down women and children to threaten the country, killing ALL THOSE INNOCENT LIVES. this happens day to day. it's a reality for paletinians. then all of a sudden America is attacked once and America's the victim. my goodness! who's the hypocrite here? what in the world happened to America's morals? or common sense?

seems as tho i've been rambling on hasn't it...
well the bottom line to all this is that America's Freedom of Speech is great and America's attempt to moralize the country is great. however, it's a shame that assholes like hateful protestors (who protest AGAINST hate) and stupid, one sided thinkers like George Bush ruin it for everyone.

finally.. i don't see what America has that Canada doesn't. though i guess it depends what you consider important: struggling for peace or fighting for your pride.

Well well grant i see that you have some good points going towards america but you have to consider most of those points such as freedom of speach and what not canada also has them like what omair said. and i do agree with you on the queen issue, i don't like her, thinks shes so great, well enough about her. you are write that americans have invented alot of stiff but ya know cars are only one of the things burning holes in the earths ozone layer and we can blame americans for that, can we? and couldn't people just ride bike other then being lazy and driving a car?? sure it gets you places faster but is it worth it, burning holes in the ozone layer, and yes all people do use cars but americans did invent them and why? because they are lazy. and your right about the britany spears songs and the bill of rights only reason why i said cause i heard it on tv i forget what show or comercial lol. but answer me this grant, whats wrong with Canada?

No need to appologize to me grant i know that you are just writing down what you believe in and i respect that and lso what i am saying is just what i believe in so don't take my statments personal either. And it is quite fun debating with you grant.

I beg to differ, americans are almost or are the dumbest people in the world today. They would rather memorize britany spears song then the bill of rights. Americans think they are sooo great but they can only back that up with war and violence. My oppinion of america is that it doesn't deserve being called "The Greatest Country On Earth"!!! No offence Grant.

Hiya ppl, nuffin new really. I'm heading out for Quebec tomorrow.
I was lying on my bedroom floor, exhausted after coming back from tennis camp and the gym. My body was aching. But, all of a sudden this feeling came over me. I'm gonna be gone for awhile, and even though i'll be back in only 5 days, i'm gonna miss everybody very much.

Yesterday i was at my friends house and we went swimming and watched tv for a while. Well hellloo everybody how are all you people doing? I havn't wrote here in a while because i was at my cottage, but here we go.
On last friday i got packed up to go to my cottage and went off to pick up my friend that was coming up to the cottage with me. On the way up there we got mr.sub for dinner and ate it at the cottage. Nothing really happened that night except we watched the late show with David Lettermen.

The next day was Saturday, it was also my birthday. My friend and I set up the batminton net and played for a bit. My dad and brother got there that late afternoon from golfing, so we went to the sandbar. It was pretty fun at the sandbar i guess we played with the tube and then went back. We had ribs for dinner since it was a special occation. After dinner i open presents, i got some kool stuff, everything on my list i got. One of the good things i got was a game for my gamecube, Resisdent Evil, its a wiked ass game, scares the shit outta me somtimes....well then we set up the tent outside for me, my friend, and my brother to sleep in, we talked about stuff for a while then went to sleep.

The next day we pretty much did the same thing but no swimming because the weather was bad, and we played croque. We slept in the tent again, and oh ya both nights we had a big fire. On monday we went golfing and went back and went swimming at the sandbar again. We came back and me and my friend started a fire with just the coles from the night before, and we put alot of green stuff to see if it woul smouther the fire but it didn't and massive amounts of smoke came out and we ran, the smoke was going all over the place, in the neibours yard and the road, it was funny but my mom yelled at us. We ate dinner and had another big fire and we went to the tent and slept.

I frogot to mention on sunday night i think at the fire we saw a satilite flying by in the sky, you can tell if its a satilite because it looks like a dim star that moves quite quickly. It was major league baseball spying on us.

The next day we went to my other cousins cottage on lake simcoe, the waves were huge that day so me and my friend went swimming in it, it was loads of fun. We ate dinner and i got a cake, it was good. I watch the sunset that night alone, because my friend was on the tramoline with my brother, and i hurt my neck from falling on it funny. The sunset reminded me of how lucky i am to be alive. I went back up to the cottage and watched tv for a while then went to bed.

On Wednesday we went back to my house after dropping off my friend. Later that night i went to the gym and worked out for a while and then i went home and watched tv till i was tired and went to bed.

Hey! Wat up every!? Howz it been? I'm sure ur all bored sitting at home right now, killing time while ur reading this messsage. But, as the summer wraps up and eventually comes to a close, i'm sure u will miss this feeling.
Nothing new wif me l8ly, i'm at daddy's place, planning a tremblant vacation for all our boarder buddies back at school. I hope a lot of u end up participanting because organizing this is more difficult than i had planned. I'm praying that Farrell will give it a green light when i show him the facts and figures.
I went mountain biking yesterday night. It wasn't the 6pm kinda trail biking though. It was like midnight hr. After getting of msn wif dimples, I went up wif a couple of older buddies and they showed me their skillz up in the Rouge Valley. It was pitch dark, all we had were thses lil flash lights attached to out bike helmets. I've never been more scared for my life. For those of u who know me, it would be to your understanding that i am accident prone. Now, add two wheels, a steep mountain, rocks, boulders, lots of trees, logs, twigs, and a narrow path. Scary stuff. I was freaking. I couldn't understand how they could balance themselves on a thin log and make it across a wide stream.
I made a couple fall outs but that was it. Although there was this time the side of my wheel caught on to an acute side of a surprisingly big rock. My first move was to panick so i squeezed the front brakes. We were going downhill pretty fast so, the bike rolled over me. It was pretty funny. I wish i caught it on camera. Prize Kodak moment. The whole ride was an hour and a half. It felt like 3. I'm doing it again nxt week. Can't wait. Thx Jay. Shut up Art! U would've screamed too. i got no broken bones, i swear, i walked it off.

Hello everybody, not much to talk about but i will still talk.
On Wednesday i went to Slaughters house with my friend Punisher, we play some music and learned a song, Offspring - The kids arn't alright. It was pretty fun. Then we went to the mall in Pickering and look for Spencers the store to buy some punk wristband thingys but they didn't have any good ones that we wanted. Slaughter bought, you know those lights that flash on and off and make things move wierdly, and we went to EB and Slaughter then bought a preowned resident evil code veronica game, bu they were out of preowned and he got a new one for the price of preowned, that was pretty kool. We went back to Slaughters house and played a bit of the game, then we left, on the way home we got wendys and it was good. Thats pretty much what we did, but it was fun.
